Health Office

Medication

If your child needs to take any form of medication at school, we must have the district from filled out with the parent's and doctor's signature (these required forms are in the Health Office). This is for ALL medication, including over-the-counter medication and cough drops.

When to Keep Your Child at Home

  • Fever in the last 24 hours
  • Vomiting in the last 24 hours
  • Diarrhea in the last 24 hours
  • Signs of illness that interfere with learning, sleep, activity, or play
  • Cold symptoms such as frequent coughing and/or nasal discharge that do not respond to cold medication
  • Head lice (live)

When to Send Your Child to School

  • Fever free for 24 hours without fever medication
  • No vomiting in the last 24 hours
  • No diarrhea in the last 24 hours
  • Minor cold symptoms
  • Asthma responsive to medication
  • With MD clearance following hospitalization, orthopedic injury, or communicable disease

Orthopedic Protocol

All aces wraps, braces, splints, casts, and crutches must have a note from the medical provider. Students with casts and crutches will not be allowed to actively participate in playground/PE activities because of the potential danger to the students and others.

Pants and Shorts Needed!

Our Health Office is running low on boys and girls pants and shorts, sizes 4-10. We try to keep a supply for our students in case of wetting accidents, cold weather, and rainy days. If you are able to donate "gently used" pants and shorts, our students could benefit from your generosity.
